21 Weeks
Hey everyone, sorry it's been so long.
Things are still great. I haven't even really felt preggers lately.
Don't worry I still am. :) I have just been feeling GREAT.
If you haven't heard yet, we are having a BOY!!!!!!!!!
Ethan James Blewett it is!!!!!! James is already planning his
father-son outings. He said he is going to take Ethan fishing. I laughed, because James DOES NOT FISH. He still wants to teach Ethan though. Every boy needs to know how to fish right?
Right now...according to "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Ethan is about 7 inches long and almost 11 oz. My belly is starting to grow faster, and it feels like a basketball.
I went to register at Babies R Us this past Saturday and was overwhelmed with all of the things that a baby needs. Hopefully I didn't forget to put anything on the registry. It did make me A LOT more excited to take care of the lil guy when he gets here. :)

17 weeks
Things are going great. I am still feeling nice and energetic. I am sooo glad that I have been blessed with such a great pregnancy so far. God has been reminding me of all of my blessings lately. He has been showing me little things that He does for us, just through protecting us and taking care of our every need.
I have been really excited to hold the baby. I get this overwhelming feeling everytime I think about it. I get giddy. :)
Only 3 weeks(January 26th) until we find out if it is a boy or a girl, so make sure u put ur vote in to see if you were right. I can't wait to find out so I can start planning the room and all that fun stuff. :)

14 Weeks and Counting(by Heather)
Well it has been a while since we have updated, but not too much has been different. I am FINALLY not nauseous anymore. I just have a cold now, which is still better than being nauseous. I feel a little more like my old self again. My recent cravings have been PB&J, pasta and meatballs. I have been wanting things that I have been depriving my body of for years. :)
The second doctors appointment went well. We heard the babys heart beat again and got a flu shot. The whole visit was only 20 minutes long. My first appointment was 2 hours, so that was a nice switch up. Only 6 more weeks until we find out if it is a boy or a girl. I also lost a pound since my last visit, which was a shocker. I guess laying off the junk food helps. It was the only thing that made me feel better. Now I actually have an appetite for the healthy stuff.
Well I will have an update for you after the next appointment...January 5th. The top picture is of me NOW at 14 weeks, the bottom picture is from when I was 11 weeks
Have a Merry Christmas!!!!!

Sonogram
On Monday Heather had her first doctor's appointment since finding out that she was pregnant. The doctor said everything is normal, and the method that Heather used to find out her due date was spot on. Our baby is due on June 22. We are going to start a pool to see who can guess the due date. She said (the doctor that is) that it could be born anywhere from June 15 to July 4. What's your guess?
My birthday is May 20 and Heather's is June 9, which is exactly 20 days apart from one another. I am guessing that there will be symmetry in our family and that the baby will be born 20 days after Heather's birthday, so my guess is June 29.
The greatest part for me about the doctor's visit (besides finding out that everyone was healthy) was seeing the sonogram. The sonogram represents the first time I ever saw my child. (Tell me that's not cool!) And at first it was partly disappointing because I couldn't figure out what I was looking at. But then they zoomed in, and the detail on my child is amazing. He/she has arms and legs and a spine.... and man its really cool!
So Heather is officially 10 weeks pregnant and we won't find out until the beginning of February whether or not we have Ethan or Ava, but as soon as we know, our blog family will know. So now without further ado, our child...

Heather's First Posting
Hey everyone, it's been 2 weeks since we found out we are pregnant. It has been exciting and exhausting. I have read that you get tired in your first trimester of pregnancy, but I never dreamed I would be this tired. I have taken more naps than I ever have in my life. I have been going to bed as early as 7:30, and as late as 9:00 o'clock.
So far my only cravings (which I'm not sure are truly cravings) have been for steak and buffalo chicken salad from Beefs, oh yeah and of course marble slabs chocolate ice cream with brownies mixed in. My "morning" sickness has kicked in and it has not been fun. There is no relief...despite all that the "experts" say to try. It is ok though because that means that the baby is still growing and hopefully doing well. So that helps me through it.
My belly has grown a tiny bit. Instead of the nice six pack I had before (JUST KIDDING) I now have a tiny pouch. I am actually excited when it grows and I wish that it would grow faster. I'm sure I will change my mind when I can't sleep on my stomach anymore. :)
Being pregnant has changed me the most in my view of things. I have a TOTALLY different outlook on God, and how amazing He is. That He put this tiny "seed" in me....a LIVE human being. It just blows my mind to think that this gift is from Him and that He entrusted me with His blessing.
Thanks to everyone who has been praying and supportive this whole time!!!! You have been a blessing!

WE ARE PREGNANT (by James)
I am guessing that if you are reading this right now you probably already know that we (James and Heather Blewett) are pregnant. (I never really understood that because my wife is the pregnant one) We found out on Wednesday October 15, 2008, and it was one of the greatest days of my life.
Heather has had a few pregnancy tests around the house, but she had them hidden because she was tempted to try every day. She had some symptoms and some real suspicions this time and so before school she was looking for the test that she had hidden. She couldn't remember where she hid it. Luckily I had just ran across it the week before. She took it and I was preparing myself for the "It's okay, you'll be pregnant one day" speech... but to my utter surprise and joy, she had two lines. (that's a good thing)
I was teaching chapel that morning and so I was trying to keep my mind fresh on how Jesus talked in Matthew 13 about the Kingdom of Heaven being like yeast in bread that spreads throughout the loaf, but all I could think about was babies. My wife took another test (never can be too sure) and then she went to get blood work. The doctor was to call at one in the afternoon and I could not concentrate. Heather got ahold of the doctor at 1:01 p.m. (he was late) and we found out that she was pregnant in the back of her classroom during naptime at NorthRidge Christian Academy.
We now understand that our lives will never be the same again, and we couldn't be happier. Our prayer right now is very simple... that our child will love God and love His Word. Please pray that along with us if you are led.
This blog will be updated with news like official duedates, sonograms, and we will get a Heather before and after picture. (for the sake of our future child) We hope that you will comment and subscribe and become one of our followers and walk alongside of us on this beautiful journey called parenting.
Thank you all and check back frequently for more.
